I don't think Bowers goes in the top 10. Earliest mocks I have seen recently have him at 15.
The consensus of the internet is him at 10 to the Jets.

Can’t wait for that first pick that completely destroys the “consensus”. That’s what’s always so fun about the draft to me.

I kind of think it's going to be the Chargers at the moment. Really, the people I can see shaking things up are Turner or someone on the OL.

I’m not 100% convinced Alt is the first OL.

So you're saying Kmet is going to jail? Dang that sucks.
If you tried to compare the Patriots duo with the Bears duo, if the Bears drafted Bowers, Bowers would play the Hernandez part, and like I said, hopefully without murdering people.

They also never won a Super Bowl with the Hernandez & Gronk. But won 3 with just Gronk.
Are you trying to suggest that, if Hernandez were not a murdering scumbag, the Patriots would not have won those 3 with Gronk?

Perhaps they could leverage a 4th round pick from the Jets to swap 9 and 10 like they did last year with Philly?

3 TE SETS, BOYS!!!
He's not a TE he's an H-Back. He's going to be like a fullback on run downs and then replace Kmet on passing downs. Because that makes sense.

So the 9th TE in receiving yards last year is going to be removed on passing downs?

Because they know the Bears are taking Rome.
The Jets need an LT. I don’t see how they don’t draft Alt or Olu

I don't understand the fascination with Bowers. When's the last time a big time TE balled out in the NFL? Heck even Pitts is looking average at best. We have two decent TEs signed. With all the whining about Ò line, Dline and WR I can't understand how anyone looks at Bowers and yep, that's the guy that's gonna make the big difference. Just seems like too many other holes to plug to consider a TE. Especially at 9.

If Rome is gone, it might change their mind though.

Per Brugler and the Beast for his career he was lined up: 52% slot, 37% inline and 10% wide.
Allen plays a lot of slot too, so opposing defenses would have to be on their toes at all times. They can motion bowers all over the formation. DJM could line up anywhere too. Bowers is really just more of a pure weapon than traditional TE. His blocking is probably underrated too, especially when compared to most move TEs.
