How did you reach that conclusion? He seems hell bent on adding a low on base percentage to his low slugging percentage.

Awesome. I'm pulling for the Sox to be the worst team in the last 80-100 years. Redefine what a dumpster fire organization is.

You thought int'l walks on a 1-2 count was bad? Well I give you the 2024 White Sox!

Oh, we can cruise past this. I think 50 shutouts just may be possible here.

They're on pace for 60 or 61. Why shoot so low with 50........

Every so often, even hitters this bad will run into one now and then and hit a ball out of the park. MANY 6-1 or 5-1 losses may be had this summer as well as the shutouts.

Ozzie(the next manager) had a great comment after the Sox got shut out once again. he was talking to Garfein and the Sox hitting woes.Ozzie said that it was hard to hit .300 but it was harder to hit .097. Garfein said why? Ozzie said basically that if a player was hitting .300 he would be in the line-up playing and if he was hitting .097 the bloke shouldn't be playing at all.

Is Maldanado even hitting .097? Even back then, the Cubs only won when the rest of the division was bad

This is probably the last year for NBC Sports Chicago. Reports yesterday that the White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks will move to Reinsdorf's Stadium streaming service which will try to get a spot on cable and satellite systems

So probably no more Ozzie after this season.

The whole world knew Maldonado would hit .097. They didn't care as the new culture of defense would be instituted.

As bad as the White Sox are, it's not even fun to knock them. Chris Getz lives 3 blocks from me and is a customer of mine. Really nice guy. His wife Nikki is a delight. Yes, I said delight and it fits. But the team Chris has put together even before the injuries was bad. The starting rotation is ridiculous. They just need to hope guys like Jimenez gets and stays healthy, do they can trade him near the deadline. Kopech could bring a nice return and a quality closer on a 100 loss team is a luxury they don't need. The Cubs do have a surplus of outfielders and some highly regarded starting pitchers besides Horton ( not getting him) so maybe a deal could make sense. Chris and Jed are friends, so I could see such a deal happening.
