The 33rd Palm Beach Cavallino Classic Brought Out The Rarest Preserved And Restored Ferraris (2024)

The 33rd Palm Beach Cavallino Classic is an event celebrating everything Ferrari. Held yearly at Palm Beach, Florida’s iconic Breakers Resort, it is a combination of sea, sun and shiny things. These things all share a simple, yet identical trait: They proudly display the Cavallino Rampante (literally, the “Prancing Horse”) on their flanks.

The event was founded by Cavallino Magazine publisher John Barnes in 1992. Acquired in 2020 by Canossa Events, it has expanded to include events in the United States, Italy, and the Middle East.

Luigi Orlandini is the passionate caretaker of the Cavallino Classic. The CEO of Canossa Events, he is a resident of Italy’s Motor Valley, born about 30 minutes from the Ferrari factory. “All the other Italian brands like Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani, Dallara, and Ducati are within an hour of us,” he said.

The Cavallino features classic Ferraris that have been preserved and restored through the decades. Still, Orlandini intends to bring it into the future. “We need to attract new generations of enthusiasts. It’s a lifestyle event. We are encouraging young people to attend. The event has a partnership with West Palm Beach’s Dreyfoos School of the Arts.

We strolled the show field and found ourselves in the midst of a Ferrari overload. Here are some highlights:
